What Is NTULearn? Login, Features & How to Use It
NTULearn is NTU’s learning management system — the site where professors post lecture materials, readings, and assignments for every module you’re taking. If you’re new to NTU, this is the system you’ll open most often, every week of the semester.
Quick summary: NTULearn is at ntulearn.ntu.edu.sg. Log in with your regular NTU network username and password. It runs on Blackboard Ultra and is used for course content, not for registering modules (that’s STARS) or checking graduation requirements (that’s Degree Audit).
What NTULearn is
NTULearn is NTU’s course management platform, built on Blackboard Ultra. It’s the closest equivalent to Google Classroom or Canvas — each module you’re registered for gets its own course page where your professor posts:
- Lecture slides and readings
- Assignment briefs and submission links
- Quizzes and graded online tests
- Grades for individual assignments (not your overall CGPA)
- Announcements and course-wide messages
- Discussion boards, where some modules run participation grading
Not every module uses every feature. Some professors post everything on NTULearn; others use it only for announcements and handle the rest in class. Check each module’s course page in the first week to see how your professor runs it.
How to log in to NTULearn
- Go to ntulearn.ntu.edu.sg.
- Sign in with your NTU network username and password — the same credentials you use for STARS, email, and Wi-Fi.
- Your enrolled modules appear on the NTULearn homepage once your STARS registration for the semester has been processed.
If a module you registered for doesn’t show up, it usually means the course page hasn’t been created yet, or the registration hasn’t synced through. Check again closer to the semester start, or ask the module coordinator directly.
NTULearn vs STARS vs Degree Audit
These three systems get confused constantly because they’re all “NTU portals,” but they do completely different jobs:

Registering for a module in STARS is what gets it to appear on NTULearn — NTULearn doesn’t control registration itself. And grades posted on NTULearn for individual assignments are not the same as your official transcript or degree audit status; those update separately after final results are released.
Common NTULearn issues
Can’t log in. Confirm you’re using your NTU network credentials, not a personal email password. If your NTU account password recently changed, NTULearn may take a few minutes to sync the update. For persistent login failures, contact the NTU IT Service Desk.
A registered module isn’t showing up. This is usually a timing issue right after STARS registration — course pages and enrolment sync can lag by a day or two, especially right after add/drop. If it’s been longer than that, contact the module coordinator.
Old modules still showing, or a dropped module still listed. Enrolment sync runs on a delay in both directions. A module you just dropped in STARS may take a short time to disappear from NTULearn.
