Managing sport requires developing relationships between organisations, and between individuals representing the sport and organisation. Students of sport management must have an understanding of the legal aspects of these relationships and the roles and responsibilities of sport officials. Topics of this course include sources of law, duty of care of sport officials, the concept of tort and negligence, contracts, and others. Sport tribunals and its conduct will also be covered. Relevant case studies will be used for discussion and learning.
