Managing human resources well is vital to any organisation. Students of this course will first begin to understand the different functions of human resource management such as recruiting, inducting, developing, and assessing personnel of the organisation. An important human resource asset to most sport organisation are volunteers. The motivation to participate in sport and the strategies of retaining sport volunteers will also be discussed and explored.
