Irish Writing Modernism To The Contemporary

You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the textual and theoretical issues raised in the course, and will develop appropriate analytical skills in the process. More specifically, this module teaches you the skills and vocabulary required to respond to an array of Irish literary texts. You will learn how to analyze and evaluate a diverse range of literary forms and genres, relevant to the national literature of Ireland. Special attention will be focused on innovative narrative forms and the evolution of a specific philosophical and narrative emphasis. You will learn to independently assess various competing arguments, whilst developing their research skills.
