The concept of total quality management in sport is presented and students will have the opportunity to discuss and explore the important factors that contribute towards a quality sport organisation. Case studies are used to reinforce the essential factors of quality management. Strategic planning, leadership and efficient and effective work processes are highlighted as important enablers towards quality. Some quality management frameworks are explored to understand the issues and concepts of achieving excellence.
