LK5008 Korean Language Level 8

Building on the knowledge and skills developed in LK5007, this course enables you to achieve advanced Korean language proficiency at the CEFR C1/TOPIK Level 5 standard. Through authentic texts, real-world communication tasks, and learner-centred, collaborative learning, you will further develop the ability to communicate accurately, fluently, and confidently in academic, professional, and intercultural contexts.

Throughout the course, you will strengthen your skills in interpreting and evaluating authentic spoken and written Korean, expressing and defending ideas through discussions and presentations, and producing coherent, well-organised written texts for a range of purposes and audiences. The course also encourages you to think critically, communicate effectively across cultures, and deepen your understanding of contemporary Korean society and culture.

As the final course in the Korean language programme, LK5008 prepares you for further study, international exchange, and professional opportunities that require advanced Korean language proficiency, intercultural competence, and the confidence to use Korean independently in complex and authentic situations.
