Learning In Inclusive Communities Through ServiceLearning

Current offering — AY2026/2027 Semester 1

This year-long course integrates academic study with sustained community engagement in diverse community settings. Students apply interdisciplinary knowledge in authentic contexts, translating classroom learning into purposeful action.

Each student completes a minimum of 40 hours of structured service in partnership with community organisations. Working in interdisciplinary teams, students identify community needs, design and implement a Service-Learning project, and contribute meaningfully through appropriate community-based activities.

Through guided reflection and collaborative practice, students strengthen NTU graduate attributes such as building inclusivity, demonstrating care for society, collaborating effectively across disciplines, and developing a strong people orientation.
