This course introduces students to the pharmacological principles and clinical applications of Chinese herbal medicine. By examining the properties, mechanisms, compatibility, efficacy, and safety of commonly used herbs and formulas, students will develop a foundational understanding of how Chinese medicine interacts with biological systems. Through lectures, case studies, and team-based learning (TBL), students will be prepared to analyze herbal actions, evaluate therapeutic uses, recognize potential herb-drug interactions, and apply this knowledge in both research and healthcare contexts.
