World War Ii Southeast Asia

This course takes a country-by-country approach to studying the World War II in Southeast Asia. For each country or group of countries, the following aspects will be discussed:

• Situation pre-World War II, especially with regards to foreign colonial powers
• The timeline of Japanese invasion and involvement
• Social, economic and political living conditions during the occupation
• The end of the war and post-war repercussions
