This course introduces Korean history to undergraduate students at NTU. 1. The nation-building of the Koreas. 2. Shifting cultural, political, and social matrix in Korean history, focusing on the period after the late nineteenth century. 3. Changing tradition and shifting modernity in Korea 4. Korea's place in the international affairs in the modern world.
