Black White Film Photography
This elective foundation level course will introduce you to the principles of photography.
You will learn all aspects of the black and white photographic process in the traditional wet darkroom such as film development, contact printing, enlarging and proper use of chemicals. Lectures, demonstrations, critiques and hands-on practice will clarify techniques, which you will then creatively apply to making photographic images.
Assignments and projects will allow you to explore content, make aesthetic choices and learn how to better articulate your ideas through the medium of photography. Upon completion of this course, you can expect to have a thorough understanding of the basic principles of photography
