In this course, you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of visual form-making (including but not limited to graphic forms). You will explore a variety of methodologies for creating forms, learn and apply colour theories, and recognize how distinct visual elements come together to create dynamic compositions for both print and digital deliverables. You will also experiment with a range of image-making and reproduction processes, from traditional to contemporary, allowing you to examine the relationship between technology, materiality, and form-making.
This course serves as an essential foundation for those planning to pursue the Communication Design and Photographic Practice specialization, while remaining open to anyone interested in developing their visual practice more broadly.
