Life Insurance Underwriting Claims

This course provides a conceptual framework to equip students with the understanding of both the underwriting and the claims management of life, critical illness (CI) or disability insurance policies. The nature of life insurance policies and their associated risks, and the principles and practices of how a life insurer organises its underwriting and claims function will be presented. Students will also be presented with scenarios whereby the students will have to apply the knowledge acquired to arrive at either an underwriting decision or a claims decision, as appropriate.
