Developing Social Impact Business

Current offering — AY2026/2027 Semester 1

This course is designed for marketing students who want to build and shape business ideas that deliver social impact. You will work with stakeholders to identify emerging and/or critical societal challenges and opportunities, such as in healthcare, education, or the environment. You will apply Design Thinking concepts to develop, prototype, and improve practical solutions. You will gain hands-on experience in Stakeholder Engagement, Ethical Marketing, and new Business Development, with relevant and responsible use of generative AI. By the end of the course, you will be able to select and frame impactful problems clearly, iterate ideas with your team, and propose purpose-driven initiatives for social responsibility programmes in both commercial and non-profit organisations.
