Adding to

ChatGPT & Codex

Step by step. The server is https://ntumods.com/mcp, with no sign-in and no key.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT on the web adds a server by URL through Developer mode, which OpenAI limits to some plans.

  1. Open ChatGPT settings and find the Apps section.
  2. Turn on Developer mode under the advanced settings.
  3. Create a new app.
  4. Enter NTUMods as the name and https://ntumods.com/mcp as the server URL.
  5. Choose No authentication, then create the app.
  6. In a new chat, turn NTUMods on from the plus menu, under More, then Developer mode, and ask a question.

OpenAI renames these menus often and its own docs no longer describe this path, so look for the words above if the layout differs. If you cannot find Developer mode, use the Codex steps below, or wait for the official ChatGPT listing.

Codex

Run this command in your terminal.

codex mcp add ntumods --url https://ntumods.com/mcp

Or add it to ~/.codex/config.toml (or .codex/config.toml in a trusted project):

config.toml
[mcp_servers.ntumods]url = "https://ntumods.com/mcp"

Prefer a window? In the Codex desktop app, open Settings, then MCP servers, then Add server. In the IDE extension, use the gear menu, then MCP servers, then Add server. Enter NTUMods as the name, choose Streamable HTTP, enter the URL above, leave sign-in empty, save, then restart.

  1. Run codex mcp list, or start codex and type /mcp, to check that ntumods is active.
  2. Ask a question, for example “When is the SC1004 exam?”.

Next, see what your assistant can ask in the MCP tools, the limits and errors, or go back to the MCP server overview.

Found something wrong?

NTUMods is built and maintained by one person, so a short note goes a long way. Pick what fits, add the details, and I will look at it.

I'll use this to follow up with you.
