AI for Society introduces students to the transformative applications of artificial intelligence across diverse domains, such as e-commerce, social media, business productivity, fintech and healthcare, and examines how AI creates societal benefi ts while posing risks at the levels of data, model, ethical, compliance and social impacts. The course begins by situating AI within the context of each industry, including its ecosystem, key players, and roles, to help students understand the business and operational foundations. Students will then explore real-world AI use cases, discuss solutions, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies for responsible and sustainable AI adoption. Topics such as AI-generated IP and misinformation will be referenced in the context of broader case analysis and discussion.
