Artificial Intelligence For Social Good
AY2024/2025 Semester 2
This course introduces students to numerous AI social-impact use cases that will demonstrate how existing capabilities of AI technologies can contribute to tackling various social challenges across the numerous UN's sustainable-development goals. Examples of both successful and unsuccessful real-life AI applications in tackling social good problems will be analysed and discussed through case studies. Students will learn about the goals and principles of human-centred AI and apply these principles to the design of trustworthy AI solutions. Students will get to appreciate the capabilities and limitation of various AI techniques and algorithms through the use of various AI tools and realistic datasets.
