AY2016/2017 Semester 1
The first part of this course provides an introduction to the laws of electromagnetism including static and time-varying electric and magnetic fields, Maxwell's equations, uniform plane waves, electromagnetic energy transfer, reflection and transmission of electromagnetic wave and transmission lines. In the second part, students will learn about control and information systems engineering. The topics covered are: fundamentals of control systems, system modelling, time domain analysis, performance of feedback control systems, frequency domain analysis, computer control systems, computer communications and data communications fundamentals.
