Engineering Science I

Engineering Science I serves as an introductory course for all Renaissance students in year 1. This course covers topics in basic mathematics with emphasis on first- and second-order ordinary differential equations, basic physics with emphasis on electricity, magnetism, light and optics, and basic chemistry with more advanced discussions on the fundamental concepts and materials used in the earth, sustainability, life and natural cycles and environmental related problems. Through the sample questions/exercises provided in the course material, the students will have chances to pick up the fundamental principles related concepts into engineering science applications.
