Electronics And Information Engineering I
AY2015/2016 Semester 2
The first part of this course provides an introduction to circuit analysis. The topics to be covered are basic circuit theorems, resistive networks, inductors, capacitors, energy storage and transient responses, alternating current circuits, complex impedance, Laplace transforms in circuit analysis, frequency response and filter design. This course then introduces basic electronic devices, such as diodes and their application in rectifiers, MOSFET, amplifier circuits, operational amplifiers and their applications. The second part of this course covers digital electronics, which includes number systems and logic gates, Boolean algebra, combinatorial logic circuits, flip-flops, sequential logic circuits, synchronous sequential logic circuits, programmable logic devices and memories.
