This course introduces the physical and transport properties in nanoscale systems. Electron gas in 2D and multilayer systems. Quantum transport in 1D; magnetotunneling; quantum capacitance and conductance. Quantum dots and artificial atoms; eigenenergies and eigenstates; single particle conductance; Coulomb blockade; Kondo effect; Aharanov-Bohm effect.
