This course introduces key concepts in optical, optoelectronics and optical communication technologies. Waveguides optics, fiber optics, crystal optics, interaction between photons and semiconductors, semiconductor light sources and detectors, photovoltaic devices, liquid crystal optics, and flat panel displays.
