Manufacturing Systems

This course provides you with the fundamental concepts, theories, and applications in manufacturing systems. Key concepts covered in the course include inventory control, material requirement planning, Just-In-Time production systems, forecast, production planning, and scheduling. You will learn how to apply those concepts to solve practical problems through real case studies. This course will train you to think independently with rigor. It is designed for the student who enjoys thinking deeply and finding the insights behind the theory. Since the content is challenging, teamwork is important and emphasized in this course. You are expected to conduct experiments and work with your teammates to fully govern and understand those profound concepts in manufacturing systems. This course will equip you with the fundamental knowledge needed to work in the manufacturing industry or continuously study manufacturing systems in the future.
