AY2021/2022 Semester 1
The aim of normative ethical theory is to rationally assess moral thought. In this course, we explore what it takes to make moral thinking rational. This course is an advanced survey of contemporary analytic moral philosophy. It primarily covers theories in normative ethics' consequentialism, deontology, virtue ethics, etc. Related areas -e.g., meta-ethics, value theory, and moral standing - will be visited more briefly.
