Clinical Psychology

AY2016/2017 Semester 1

The areas covered include the use of psychological interview and assessment to determine the factors that triggered and maintained the psychological disorders to an overview of psychological approaches to management. Other critical issues to be discussed include professional conduct and ethics, and the stigma of mental illness that prevents help-seeking behaviour. To encourage the transfer of learning, the seminars will provide students with hands-on experience of applying the knowledge and techniques covered in the lectures.
