You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the textual and theoretical issues raised in the course, and will develop appropriate analytical skills in the process. You will gain an understanding of key philosophical concepts related to aesthetics. You will learn to demonstrate reading strategies linked to the principle of literature as art, encompassing narrative theory, visualization, ekphrasis. You will also learn to distinguish between central concepts like the sublime, beauty, form & content.
