Dissent Resistance Rebellion

AY2019/2020 Semester 1

This course will examine episodes of organized dissent, resistance, and rebellion in modern history. What do such movements have in common? What inspires them? What makes them succeed or fail? This course will also examine the role that such movements have had in shaping the course of history and effecting social, economic, and political change.
