Readings Of Classical Chinese Prose

AY2016/2017 Semester 2

Basically, there will be two parts in the seminar. Firstly, close reading and critical analysis of selected classical prose, primarily focusing on political prose, narrative prose, and argumentative prose. Secondly, make connections and discussions of these proses with modern society, politics, culture and psychology problems and phenomena. The course will be carried out through 3-hour seminar per week as follows: 1. First hour: Lecturer gives a sample reading to one specific prose 2. Second hour: discussion between lecturer and students 3. Third hour: students? presentation(comparison reading to guidance works)
