AY2015/2016 Semester 1

This subject provides students with a basic understanding of Singapore?s public policy-making process in the political, social, economic, and cultural context. The different stages of policy-making: problem definition, agenda-setting, issues expansion, formulation, legitimation, budgeting, implementation and evaluation will be discussed. It will also examine the roles of the executive, legislature, bureaucracy, the judiciary and the citizenry in the policy-making process in Singapore.
