AY2018/2019 Semester 2
Volcanology is a major discipline within earth sciences and the study of volcanic hazards is key to understanding and improving societal growth/sustainability, particularly in SE Asia. Volcanology is a dynamic and evolving science as technology develops and new or improved tools appear. It is also a main pillar of the EOS-ASE research programs. The student will learn the foundations of volcanology as a science, will discover the state-of-the-art tools that are available for research, and will apply and therefore build a new set of skills related to these tools.
