Production For Graphic Designers

AY2018/2019 Semester 2

This course focuses on issues related to the real-world production of design materials. Image reproduction, press-checks, colour specifications, proofing, trapping procedures, file preparation, paper selections, and binding and finishing techniques will all be explored. Orchestration of image editing, vector, and composing software will be covered, with an emphasis on maintaining efficiency within the deadline and budget driven production environment. Students will gain a basic proficiency of production knowledge.
