Interface Design

AY2014/2015 Semester 1

This course shows students how to create interface designs that are efficient in their use of resources, can serve complex needs without confusing the user, are elegant and enjoyable to use and are structured in a rational and consistent manner. The subjects of usability and the user?s experience are critically discussed and explored. Students will develop the practical skills needed to make the user's interaction a productive and pleasurable experience. Students develop online and device-cantered interfaces that are both informative and interactive, whilst developing their understanding of the underlying structures that the interface hides from and reveals to the user.
