Advanced Development And Prototyping

AY2014/2015 Semester 2

This is a studio-oriented course that uses heavily the resources within the rapid prototyping workshop. Students develop and prototype key elements and phases of the design and learn how to make an appropriate selection of tools and process. The students develop projects in specific and current areas of product design and build their confidence in dealing with conceptualizing, developing, detailing and building prototypes. Students develop the ability to pay close attention to the practical details of the construction of these prototypes. This course prepares students for real world situations while allowing them to develop a portfolio of detailed and prototyped products.
