Foundation Drawing I

AY2015/2016 Semester 1

In this course the students will further develop the ideas and approaches outlined in DN1001. The compositional and idea-led thinking initiated in DN1001will be elaborated upon. The meeting of drawing with painting will also be explored, particularly with reference to colour. The idea that drawing can be a tool in the development of design, time-based, narrative and other creative projects will also be covered. Greater independence of thinking will be encouraged and the students will be expected to produce a final self-directed project.
