Applied Creativity Entrepreneurship

Last offered — AY2014/2015 Semester 2

1. Ideation Techniques: by studying the work of practitioners from diverse fields, such as sculpture and engineering, various ideation techniques will be analysed before they are explored for new applications. 2. Individual/Group Responses to Creative Stimulus - Presentation & Reflection: students will explore crafts such as drama and dance, creative writing and a visual art, such as photography. They will use the inspiration they have gathered to present original works, either individually or in groups. These works will also inform the development of creative, written pieces that outline each student?s involvement in the exercise. 3. Group Project Proposals: randomly assigned groups will develop raw ideas and develop them into more polished concepts for a new business opportunity or a solution to a widespread problem. These ideas will be refined through consultation with their peers and tutor. 4. Group Presentations: these proposals will become the focus of a Group Presentation, introducing their business ideas or solutions to the cohort and possibly guests from the university and business community.
