Molecular Basis Of Diseases

This course aims to understand molecular mechanisms and drug discovery of major diseases e.g. cancer, infectious diseases, metabolic diseases (types of diabetes) and neuronal diseases. It is also to introduce molecular and structural aspect of important diseases. This course will deal with genetics, biochemical and structural aspects of diseases like cancer, neuronal diseases, infectious disease and associated problems with antibiotic therapies and metabolic disorders. This course will also discuss current therapies and discovery of drugs for these diseases. It will integrate complex nature of molecular and structural aspects of explaining diseases and discovery of new drugs.
