Industry Seminar
AY2019/2020 Semester 2
The industry seminar series will offer students professional insights and industry perspectives to international trading. The course will serve to link theory with practice, bringing real-world cases and industry practices into the classroom. Students can expect to better appreciate how international trading concepts and principles are applied in different aspects of the trading and commodities sector. Students will also have the opportunity of using financial platforms to analyse data in the commodities and related sectors. This seminar series will: 1. Invite industry specialists in wholesale commodities trading or related products to conduct seminars on their areas of expertise; 2. Train in the use of financial platforms Thomson Reuters Eikon and Bloomberg to access and analyse information and data in commodities and related sectors. 3. Be conducted throughout the academic year based on the timing of the industry specialist seminars.
