This course covers the application of probability theory and statistical methods to some insurance problems. The scope of the course more or less matches Subject CT6 - Statistical Methods of the Institute of Actuaries, UK, examinations. Topics covered include Decision Theory, Bayesian Methods, Loss Distributions, Risk Theory, Ruin theory, Reinsurance, Generalized Linear Models, Time Series Models, Simulation Methods and Experience Rating.
