Special Topics In Chinese Philosophy Iii

This course is designed to provide an advanced introduction for Philosophy undergraduates to specific topics and issues of importance in Chinese Philosophy, such as Chinese ethics, metaphysics, and epistemology, and various traditions including Confucianism, Buddhism, Daoism, etc. This course will explore the philosophy of the Zhuangzi, one of the masterpieces of early Daoist thought and literature, and indeed of all world thought and literature, through close readings (in English translation) and exploration of interpretative traditions, both classical and modern.
