Survey Design and Sampling Techniques provide the necessary back ground for doing applied research in opinion polls, experimental and behavioral economics, Business and Social Sciences among others. This course begins with the introduction of the related statistical concepts. Then it addresses the planning, design and methodology of survey sampling followed by developing various types of survey instruments. The course also covers the methods of processing, reporting, estimation and analysis of the collected data. In order to maintain the best possible learning practice, the course objectives will be met through lectures, tutorials and project writing. To meet the differential needs of the course students are encouraged to perform data analysis utilizing computer software.
